Basketball

I don’t normally post about basketball, but this deserves some attention.

Draymond Green’s stat line of 14 rebounds, 14 assists, 6 steals and 4 blocks was completely overshadowed by Steph Curry’s magic on Saturday night.

With 24 games to go in the season, Steph has already surpassed his own NBA record for 3-pointers in a season (now at 288).

He finally tied Kobe’s NBA record for 3-pointers in a single game (12). It’s only a matter of time before he breaks that record too.

He became the first player ever to make at least ten 3-pointers in back-to-back games.

This week alone, he’s had a 50+ point game, a game-winning 3-pointer in overtime, and a scoring average of 43.6. He’s running away with the NBA scoring title this year, averaging well over 30 points per game.

Oh, and his team is 53-5 in the stronger Western Conference with 17 of their remaining 24 games at home. At this point, surpassing the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ NBA record of 72 wins is not only possible, but likely.

A second consecutive MVP award for Steph Curry seems inevitable. He’s absolutely revolutionizing the game with a shooting talent that has never before been seen. He’s got me thinking of coming home early from South America to watch the entire playoffs on the big screen.

Respect to Stephen Curry.
